2 personas perdieron la vida y 30 fueron rescatados por pescadores de la zona.
La tarde de ayer sábado 23 de diciembre una embarcación con 32 migrantes naufrago cerca de Corn Island, en el Caribe Sur de Nicaragua.
De los 32 ciudadanos, 21 son de Venezuela, 5 de la India, 4 de Ecuador y 2 de Colombia, quienes salen de sus países con el fin de llegar hacia Estados Unidos.
Tras el accidente dos personas perdieron la vida y 30 fueron rescatados sanos y salvos por los pescadores de la zona y la Fuerza naval quienes juntaron esfuerzos en la búsqueda, salvamento y rescate.

Corn Island esta en la ruta de migrantes irregulares que usan Colombia, Panamá, conectando La Isla de San Andrés, Corn Island, Bluefields, Centroamérica para llegar hacia Estados Unidos, huyendo de las deplorables condiciones de políticas y económicas (como el nuestro) y buscan llegar a Estados Unidos en busca de mejores oportunidades de vida donde lamentablemente ponen en riesgo sus vidas.
